我們從去年開始不時會在餐桌上讀詩篇討論，從第一篇開始這樣逐節討論，中間也休息了一段時間，到如今終於到了101篇了。 我相信若是可以，父親應是家庭裡不二選的信仰導師角色，既然除了耶穌以外沒人比我與Eva更愛這三個小孩，那我還是最放心自己傳遞價值觀這種人生最重要的東西。坦白說我們做這些影片就是希望鼓勵家庭成為信仰的暖房。 這次的討論也讓我想到最近令人震驚難過的消息，就是我從大學就開始收聽的知名 apologist Ravi Zacharias 被證實性犯罪。到底是從哪裡出現了問題？追根究底就是從心開始。當人有了權力名聲，心實在太容易失守。 我也打算跟孩子討論這個時事，從中學習也為受害者禱告，若是適合的話也會剪輯跟各位分享。 Since last year we have been reading the Psalms while eating, from Psalm 1, verse by verse in discussion, and now we are finally at Psalm 101 despite we did take a break from it for a while. I believe if possible, fathers are the best persons to play the faith mentor role in the family, and since there's no one other than Jesus who can love our kids like we do, I think we are the best candidates to teach them about values. What we talked about this time reminds me of the shocking and sad news that the world renown apologist Ravi Zacharias, whom I have been listening to since college, was exposed for his sexual misconduct. What went wrong? It all started with the hearts. When a person acquired power and reputation, it's so easy to leave our hearts unchecked. I plan to discuss this incident with the kids, hopefully to learn something from it and to pray for the victims. If it is appropriate I will also share the video clip here.
